A digital projection project by Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Part of the Arts & Humantities Festival 2013: Being Human.
Dan Shorten (Guildhall School of Music and Drama) will be using digital animation to illuminate the facade of the King’s Building on the Strand Campus Quad. Using a technique known as ‘Projection Mapping’ the building will distort and transform in front of your eyes. The work will include rendered lighting and digital animation. Using cutting edge techniques to place custom animation directly on the surface of the facade of the building, transforming the features and perspective. This playful, visual installation will explore themes of being human, our engagement with technology and the rapidly transforming cultural landscape of the modern world. . .
