Lea Collet was born in France and lives and works in London. Primarily working with performance, installation and moving image her practice uses collaborative acting, abstracted physical movements and dialogue, sound, objects and obscuring structures to create a malleable stage for improvisation.
Collet completed an MA at the Slade School of Fine Art in 2015, receiving the Berenice Goodwin Prize for Achievement in Performance 2015 and the Boise Travel Scholarship 2015. She previously completed her BA in Photography at Camberwell College of Arts in 2013. Her recent exhibitions and performances include the Showroom, UCL Art Museum, V22 (London), le Commun (Geneva, Switzerland), Artiria (Lefkada, Greece), SITE (Stockholm, Sweden). She is also part of an ongoing collaboration with Marios Stamatis.
This talk has been programmed to coincide with the exhibition I Never Lied to You at Camberwell Space Projects, an exhibition of work by recent BA Fine Art Alumni of Camberwell College of Arts.
